WHERE GIRLS ROCK! LITERALLY. We are a summer camp where girls are never told to be quiet, only louder! MISSION Girls' Rock Camp-ATHENS operates as a non-profit organization (seeking 501(c)(3)status) whose mission is to build female youth empowerment through music education and creation. By providing the girls with a safe place to express themselves we are aiding the girls in their development as freethinking individuals. We are run completely by dedicated volunteers who serve as a positive community of female mentors.Benefit Concert Join us at the 40 WATT on February 17th, 2010 for a benefit concert for Girls' Rock Camp-ATHENS! Performers include Allison Weiss, The Orkids, Creepy, and other amazing local artists!2010 Camp Girls' Rock Camp-ATHENS 2010 will take place at Pigpen Studios on July 26th-30th with the showcase on the 31st at a venue downtown. Camper tuition is $300 and there is a limited amount of financial aid. Space is limited it's a first come, first serve basis. Once all the slots are filled registration will close.
